Finding her
own sky.

Emily is twenty-four. She lives in present-day Paris, but most of the things she loves are much older: worn books, ancient stories, and paintings that still have something to say.

She makes one painting each month. But this is her home, not just her worktable. She reads in the deep chair, drinks tea and watches Paris. A myth, a patch of sky, a page left open: later, some of it finds its way into the paint.
